Strip-Sack Miller Strikes Again!

Von Miller is still the best defensive player in football. “Strip-sack” Miller struck again in the 2018 Pro Bowl by knocking the ball loose from NFC quarterback Jared Goff‘s hands. Miller recovered the fumble and sealed the 24-23 victory for his AFC squad.

Miller earned defensive MVP honors and tight end Delanie Walker received the nod on the offensive side of the ball. The AFC superstar helped add some weight to his teammates pockets by locking up the victory bonus on a play that was similar to the one that won him Super Bowl 50 MVP honors.

As a team, the Denver is a far cry from the video above just two years ago. The Broncos’ dismal 5-11 campaign was the franchise’s worst season since the 4-12 2010 season that earned them the second overall pick to select Miller. Although it was no DPOY type of year, and Miller made his share of mistakes, he still managed to finish amongst the top in the league with 10 sacks.

Hall of Fame defensive end Bruce Smith recorded 200 career sacks in 19 seasons.

In no season in his career has Miller finished with less than double-digit sacks. The 28-year-old has 83.5 career sacks and averages just under 12 sacks per season. His run rate projects him to be on pace for the chase to 201 to beat Hall of Famer Bruce Smith‘s record.
